Much less crowded then most beaches it offers great waves with minimal crowds. Beginners will enjoy the sandbanks over summer, while intermediate to advanced surfers the bigger waves over the cooler months.
The middle of the beach known as ‘the pines’, is a consistent break exposed to more swell lines, offering options for the intermediate and elite levelled surfers to perfect their technique.
Avoca beach has consistent swell all year round, a right-hand point break, beach break options, learner-friendly waves and a rock pool for the little ones.
