At Central Coast Surf Academy, we’re passionate about making surfing fun, accessible, and empowering for adults of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re catching your first wave, or ready to sharpen your skills and learn new maneuvers, our professional Coaches are here to guide you in a supportive, relaxed environment.
Our Adult Surf lessons are designed to build your confidence, improve your technique, and foster a strong community spirit – all while having an incredible time in the ocean.
We offer Beginner and Intermediate surf lessons tailored to your skill level:
- Beginner: Focus on learning the fundamentals of surfing, developing ocean awareness, and building the skills needed to become a confident and competent surfer.
- Intermediate: Perfect for surfers who are already comfortable paddling, standing, and catching waves independently and want to take their skills to the next level with techniques like bottom turns, cutbacks, and more.
Our experienced, accredited Coaches are passionate about helping you progress at your own pace, in a fun, safe and supportive setting.
Depending on your skill and experience level, you will work on:
- Learn to Surf skills and techniques
- Ocean safety and beach awareness
- Riding unbroken (green) waves
- Positioning and wave selection
- Performing basic and advanced maneuvers (bottom turns, top turns, cutbacks, floaters, re-entries, snaps)
Locations: Avoca Beach, MacMasters Beach, Copacabana Beach, Toowoon Bay, Shelly Beach, Terrigal Beach, Blue Lagoon
Duration: 1 hour lesson
Equipment included: Surfboard, wetsuit, rash vest
