Central Coast Surf Academy chooses optimal surf locations to undertake training utilising an array of beaches to suit your individual level. Prior to undertaking Academy classes you will be guided on the most suitable option. All surfing lessons are run at Avoca Beach, MacMasters Beach, Copacabana Beach, Terrigal Beach, Wamberal Beach, and Ocean Beach.
Avoca Beach is arguably the most popular and well known surf break on the Central Coast with good reason, offering a variety of conditions a perfect point break and multiple beach break options to choose form this beach offers plenty of opportunity to enhance your surfing ability.
Copacabana Beach is protected from the area’s northeasterly winds and offers a world-class point break for advanced surfers. While a swell magnet during the winter months makes this beach a perfect location to challenge your surfing skills and grow as a surfer.
Macmasters Beach is protected from the southerly swells and offers and abundance of un-crowded peaks to choose from. Located on the southern end of the Central Coast the secluded environment makes for a real escape when your surfing both the punchy beach breaks and powerful point break.
Terrigal beach is a great learn to surf beach. It is a protected bay so swell size is kept to a minimum which is ideal for small children, hesitant surfers and anyone starting their surfing journey with us. Terrigal beach is also a hive of great cafes and coffee shops for refueling after your surfing lesson.
Ocean beach is one of the safest learn to surf beaches on the Central Coast. It rarely has large surf so you can expect perfect waves for the whole family. Especially for those surfers who want small non intimidating fun waves. This is a great beach for those looking to learn to surf for the first time.
This Beach delivers consistent waves year round. Exposed to swells from all sides, ‘the bend’ at this beach offers great sandbanks for surfers of all levels to enjoy. While intermediate and experienced surfers can move toward the north end which is protected from the NE swell and provides faster hollow waves.
